Still no news, nothing much happening in my life. I ride the bus for fun, eat at Little Pat's too often, enjoy the sunrise through my bedroom window, and have no idea what I'll be doing tomorrow... but it's gonna be fun.
By popular demand, here are some more old movies I've seen recently, all of which you ought to see, too:
Two baseball-playing buddies try to survive after the apocalypse.
• The Beast from Haunted Cave (1959)
Schlock from Roger Corman, but it's fun. Skiing, bad guys, and monsters.
• Beverly Hills Cop (1984)
Have you seen this lately? It's still terrific. The perfect action movie.
• The Big Steal (1949)
Film noir classic, with Robert Mitchum and Jane Greer. "Are you always so chivalrous?"
• Dangerous Passage (1944)
No movie stars, no budget, just a solid thriller aboard a ship at sea.
• The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951)
Slow but smart sci-fi about a space alien that doesn't want to kill or eat earthlings.
• Flesh and the Spur (1957)
A stylish western, with Mike Connors from Mannix. "My intentions are honorable. At this point."
• High School Big Shot (1959)
Weird story about a kid who wants to be a bad guy.
• Leviathan (1989)
Hollywood big-budget science-fiction done right.
• Night of the Living Dead (1968)
A zombie classic. "They're dead. They're all messed up."
• Space Master X-7 (1958)
Despite the stupid title, this is a pretty good golden-era sci-fi flick.
• Suddenly (1954)
Thriller about a plot to assassinate the President. Bucle up for plot twists.
• The Tall Target (1951)
Civil War thriller, where John Kennedy tries to save Abe Lincoln.
• Unknown World (1957)
Low-budget sci-fi schlock, but it's smart.
