‼ FLASH ‼
Breakfast at Great American on Monday 3/24.
All great Americans are invited!
Why, hello everybody (or anybody) who clicks here.
We're getting old so time is running low, but if you'll share some of yours with me, I'd be delighted to share some of mine with you.
Here's my maybe-agenda for this week. Whether I do these things or don't depends on my mood that morning, and my gout, and whether anyone wants to come with.
Friday 3/21: Family breakfast at Little Pat's Place. 9:45 AM, not 10:00, but as always I recommend the chicken-fried steak.
Also Friday 3/21: Blue to Blue, a play at Annex Theater. I have no idea what to expect, which makes it more fun.
Saturday 3/22: Tesla Takedown. Uually I'm at South Lake Union, but I've also been spotted at University Village. If you don't understand WHY, ask.
Sunday 3/23: French Fest at Seattle Center. I'll have some chaussons aux pommes, please — Ooo là là!
Monday 3/24: It's the history of Lollapalooza, at Town Hall.
Tuesday 3/25: Frog at KEXP, either preceded or followed (or both) by burgers at Dick's down the street.
Wednesday 3/26: Ain't doing anything at all, except celebrating National Recliner Day.
Thursday 3/27: Hitchcock double feature at North Bend Theater: Shadow of a Doubt (1943) and The Lady Vanishes (1938).
Friday 3/28: Federal Building Fridays, a protest at (guess where?) the Federal Building downtown.Saturday 3/29: Tesla Takedown again. Does carrying a picket accomplish anything? No, America is over, but the protests are always a good time.
Sunday 3/30: Cornelia's Visitors, a play about artificial intelligence, at West of Lenin in Ballard.
But wait, there's more!
Some time soon I'd like to host a board game party — Scrabble,
BananaGrams, whatever. No guests are allowed at my boarding house, but I'd rent a 'living room'-like space at Missing Piece Games & Cafe in West Seattle on a weekday, around lunchtime. Please note, this ain't happening unless at least a few people are interested, so let me know.
If you're family, friend, former friend, acquaintance, arch-enemy, or
simply
Doug-curious, you're invited to any of the above. Click the links for details, or drop me a note!
• All events are 'Dutch treat'.
• Please remember the basics of Doug.
And if you're planning something or going somewhere, and you'd like a fat man with
flatulence to tag along, I'm that guy. All invitations will be
cheerfully considered, possibly even accepted.
