• Breakfast at Little Pat's
First and third Saturday of every month
• Cheap eats
at various other restaurants
• Monthly movie
usually on the third Sunday of each month
• Upcoming events
updated weekly
• Board games
Chess,
Monopoly, Parcheesi, Rummikub, Scrabble, or whatever.
Major breakthrough — I've discovered The Missing Piece, a cafe that welcomes gamers, so now I can actually sorta host an afternoon or evening of board games.
If we play at your place, I'll bring chips or whatever. If we play at The Missing Piece, I'll buy coffee or Cokes for everyone, but you gotta buy your own food if you're hungry. (I tried one of their sandwiches, and it was great.)
• Chess online
Make a move once daily, once weekly, or whenever you get around to it. It's all online, so the pieces can't get knocked over.
For years, I've been playing online chess against one friend, but I'd love to play somebody else.
If you don't know the game, it's easy and fun & I'd be happy to teach.
• HORSE at the house
Winner gets bail posted by the losers.
Or, I suppose we could play anyplace that has a hoop — a park or your garage, maybe?
• Our sister Helen
Any time you're going to see Helen, I'd love to come along.
• Weird food
In these golden years, I'm up for doing things I've never done before, and two of those things are pizza with anchovies and chicken and waffles.Pick a time and place, and let's eat adventurously.
